Sales Coordinator

Position Description:

The Sales Coordinator will represent the company, both internally and externally, in a positive manner along with professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity. The incumbent will maintain a high level of service knowledge and possess the ability to manage stringent deadlines. The position requires attention to detail and a high level of judgment in order to organize workload and projects

Qualifications:

    • Degree or diploma in a business, administration or sales-related program
    • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, with ability and strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including objection-handling and closing
    • Industry experience would be an asset
    • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
    • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
    • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse team environment
    • High level of integrity and work ethic
    • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving abstract

Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Liaise with various internal departments to ensure awareness of ongoing incentives and promotional offerings
    • Prepare, review, edit, develop and/or complete various correspondence such as letters, invoices, proposals, sales forecasts/presentations/publications/reports, i.e. monthly status reports
    • Identify and solicit potential clientele, through cold calling and networking, promote sales to existing clients, overcome objections, etc.
    • Develop and build relationships with new customers, develop additional contacts within existing accounts
    • Monitor contract agreements for approval
    • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new services, competitor activities, and other research
    • Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
    • Keep up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts, and details of meetings in a timely manner in the format required
    • Relay customer quality improvement suggestions for company services
